This album has historical importance. It belongs to the first bossa
nova recordings and at the same time it introduced this music to the whole
world, to be more precise a movie from which this music comes accomplished
that by winning Palme d'Or in Cannes film festival in 1959. The music comes
from Luiz Bonfá and Tom
Jobim and besides 2 songs by both authors, this CD includes some sounds
from the streets and background noises from the movie. A nice version of
A
Felicidade by Bruno Mello as it appears in the film is included as
well as beautiful version of Manha de Carnaval. As a bonus a medley
of 3 of the 4 main songs by great Brazilian guitar player Bola Sete is
added. Historic recording!
