Much like The Best of Two Worlds João
made in 1976 with Stan Getz and his second wife Miucha, this album known
also as ''The White Album' and 'Águas de Março' brings the
cool and soft bossa arrangements, as well as similar repertoire. There
are beautiful
Antonio Carlos Jobim's songs Ligia
and Aguas de Março, then Izaura,
E Precisoo Perdoar
and Gilberto Gil'sEu Vim da Bahia. Additionaly
João recorded one of the most performed Ary Barroso's
tune Na Baixa do Sapateiro but in the instrumental version. The
arrangements consist basically of João's voice, guitar and percussion.
This album is considered one of the best of his achievements and rated
very high in Brazil, where it was recorded. Like any João's album,
this one deserves it's place in any bossa nova fan's discoteque and is
a must for any serious bossa nova collector.
