This is the second album from instrumental series, the other being Tristeza
on Guitar, Apaixonado and Canto on Guitar and
all that can be said for the others applies to this one too. Once again
it features some of the best known Powell's songs such as Consolação,
Samba
Triste and marvellous Tristeza e Solidão found also on
Afro Sambas. Still Baden Powell finds a place for
other composer's songs such as Antonio Carlos Jobim's
Dindi, Edu Lobo's Reza,
nice walz
from Vinícius de Moraes Euridice
and beautiful version of Oscar Hammerstien All the Things You Are.
This album is also addressed to all admirers of classical guitar but also
to all lovers of cool samba and bossa nova styles and will find it's place
among the jazz audience too.
