This first of the series of compilations of Ary Barroso's songs interpreted
bz famous Brazilian musicians. Opening Na Batucada da Vida reminds
on the other Jobim's interpretation of the same
found on Jobim & Miucha album, No
Rancho Fundu is perfectly sung by Gal Costa, nice version of No
Tabuleiro da Baiana follows, quite different from João
Gilberto's found on Amoroso/Brasil, followed
by minimalistic Caetano and guitar version of
Camisa Amarela. Also deserve mentioning Maria by Edu
Lobo, Eu Nasci No Morro by Monarco, but the rest of performances
are almost equally good. Very nice selection of songs and respectable performers
make this disk a must-have for any Ary Barroso fan.
