Jazz Masters 13 - Antonio Carlos Jobim

Excellent Verve compilation made from five most important Jobim's albums. Opening Corcovado comes from 1st worldwide known bossa nova album Getz/Gilberto, as well as So Danco Samba and O Grande Amor. Vivo Sonhando, Desafinado, Agua de Beber and Favela are instrumentals recorded on first Jobim-Ogerman instrumental album The Composer of Desafinado Plays. From Jobim-Getz-Bonfa masterpiece Jazz Samba Encore! come Insensatez beautifully sung by Maria Toledo and instrumental O Morro Não Tem Vez with one of the best Getz bossa nova sax solos. Fourth great album Elis&Tom with Elis Regina is represented with all times greatest recordings of Águas de Março and Chovendo na Roseira, beautiful Inútil Paisagem and Por Toda Minha Vida. Finally from the most recent album Passarim come Borghezium and Gerhwin's Fascinating Rhythm. This is a stimulating compilation, once you listened to it you will probably want to buy all featured albums, but for all who want just a compilation from the best of Jobim's works this is the album to buy.
